On April 6, 2019, a delegate of seven deans of public colleges of Engineering supervised by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research of KRG flew to Finland. They visited four universities, namely; University of Tampere, Tampere University of Applied Sciences, Häme University of Applied Sciences (HAMK), and Alto University where they were warmly welcomed by the key members of the universities. Besides, they have met representatives of Finland Ministry of Foreign and Ministry of Education and Culture as well as with the leader of Omnia Education Partnership Organization and leader of Quality Assurance of Engineering Studies in all Finland universities. The visit lasted for five days from 8/04/2019 to 12/04/2019 during which a number of workshops, seminars, and meetings were held and had tours to the various workplaces of their activities. The primary aim of the visit was to share their experiences in the field of engineering studies and create new channels of long-term bilateral relations and agreements with them in the areas of mutual interest such as; joint research projects, staff and student training programs, student exchange and fellowship programs and workshops and especially laboratory facilities. The delegate was also cordially hosted and received by the municipality of Tampere city. All the aforementioned sides showed their willingness to cooperate and establish mutual projects.
